Hoffman & McNamara Nursery and Landscape is a full-service public space landscaping contractor and wholesale nursery located in Hastings, Minnesota. Since 1977, we’ve served Minnesota and the Upper Midwest with efficient, sustainable, and high-quality workmanship. Our 160-acre nursery cultivates over 40,000 trees in both field and container production. Our installed projects grace freeway interchanges, parkways, golf courses, parks, and public landscapes. Location: Hastings, MN
Compensation: $15-$18 an hour.
Schedule: Seasonal Position Mid March- November

Position Summary

Reporting to the Nursery Leader, a student worker will spend time pruning, digging and doing tasks associated with tree care in our Nursery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Maintenance, Harvest, Potting, and Planting.

• Plant Health such as hand weeding, fertilization, and applying pesticides.

• Load and unload plants, equipment, and materials.

• Plant moisture management. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team

• Able to take clear direction and follow through on tasks

• 16 year old minimum

• Must hold valid drivers license

• Must be able to commit to working on average at least 13 hours a week during school time and 25 hours a week during summer and/or breaks during school.
