#3 of a 4-part series: What makes Hoffman & McNamara Different?

Hoffman & McNamara's 50 Years of Planting the Future is made possible by placing high value on being organized - on the jobsite, in our office, and in the nursery.

Meticulous organization has become part of the company culture at Hoffman & McNamara. I mean, have you ever seen a tool wall as nicely color-coordinated and organized as the one here? It makes us giggly. Some of us in a happy, contented way (Mike McNamara), others in a jittery, don’t-mind-these-paper-stacks-on-my-desk, way (Steph, probably).

Having the right people and tools and the systems in place for organizing the use of these resources is another strength of H&M. Leadership Team members have created processes for scheduling the use of equipment, for reporting equipment needing repair, and even for loading/unloading materials going to or coming back from jobs. During annual Spring Training at the start of each nursery and landscaping season, all new and returning staff are trained on processes relevant to their work, creating accountability that saves time in the long run: LESS communication is needed during the hustle of peak season if everyone knows their role ahead of time and how it fits into the larger scheme of company goals.

This means smoother projects for YOU, our customer, with work done right the first time, fewer headaches and longer-lasting plant solutions.
