Project Manager

  • Primary Job Summary: The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for managing medium to large scale landscape construction projects. This job will fluctuate from day to day, as the many demands change from project to project.  Job Functions include:
    • Strategizing project approach with H&M estimator(s), Senior Project Manager, project superintendent, and foreman.
    • Assist in supporting the effective scheduling with our project owners, multiple landscape installation crews, various sub-contractors, and supply vendors.
    • Coordinating & manage the submission of utility locate tickets and onsite locate meetings. Individuals will become very familiar with the Diggers Hotline of WI and Gopher State One Call of MN.
    • Route map planning and optimization for our Blvd. tree install projects.
    • Working with multiple google & Microsoft applications, Bluebeam, and Landscape Management Network (LMN).
    • Perform various project management administrative tasks as directed.
  • Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 per year with overtime after 40 hours. Candidates selected for the position will be eligible for benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, HSA, PTO, and paid holidays after 30-day on-boarding period; eligible for Profit Sharing Retirement Plan in the year following one year of service.
  • Work Hours: This is a full-time seasonal position requiring approximately 40-50 hours a week with flexible daily hours throughout the work week.
  • Required Qualifications: Strong communication and coordination skills are vital in this role. Candidate must have the ability to multitask, work independently and efficiently, as well as problem solve.  Above average proficiency with computer skills including with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with construction management software such as Bluebeam. Familiarity with GSOC or similar utility locating experience or training. Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Landscape Technician I 

  • Primary Job Summary: The candidate selected for this position will safely and efficiently carry out task associated with installation of ornamental shade and evergreen trees throughout Minnesota and surrounding areas. Candidates should be prepared for 5 weeks of out-of-town per season.
  • Compensation: $21 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. Candidates selected for the position will be eligible for benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, HSA, PTO, and paid holidays after 30-day on-boarding period; eligible for Profit Sharing Retirement Plan in the year following one year of service. Prevailing wages will be paid accordingly in addition to unemployment paid to eligible workers in the winter.
  • Full time seasonal with winters off: 8 months per year (winters off from approximately November 25th through April 1st) depending on weather.  Overtime during portions of season. 40-60 hours (4 to 6 days) per week April through November. Flexible hours and weekend work required on occasion.
  • Required Qualifications: Start a new career with an open mind and a desire to learn and we will teach you the rest. Must have means of transportation to get to and from jobsites. Ability to lift 60+ pounds regularly.
  • Preferred Qualifications:  Experience working in agriculture, horticulture, or similar field; Experience operating tractors, skid steers, and small engines.

Horticulture Internship

  • Primary Job Summary: The candidate selected for this internship will work under the direction of our nursery leader getting hands on experience planting, pruning, staking, and maintaining trees on over 160 acres of nursery grounds. We work hard so this is a paid internship with competitive wages offered.
  • Seasonal Work Period: Part time position with flexible daily hours during the week and on Saturdays during the spring while school is in session (education is important to us and has helped to build our company so we are more than willing to accommodate your school schedule).  Summer work (or remaining duration of the internship) is full time.
  • Required Qualifications: Driven, hard-working individuals with a passion for horticulture and a desire to learn more about the nursery industry. Students should have, preferably, completed at least 1 year of college and have an interest in pursuing a career in the horticulture industry (or related field).
